Each week there is one student athlete selected from the applications. They will receive a $100 athletic scholarship and recognition. All of the winners throughout the year will be invited to a banquet with their families. At that banquet one male and one female will be awarded $1,000 cross country scholarships.
World Sport Cross Country Scholarship
World Sport offers College Cross Country scholarships as part of an ongoing effort to help students continue in athletics and to ensure they can succeed in college. Any high school junior or senior that has participated for at least two seasons out of the last three years of cross country can apply for this athletic scholarship.
There are 56 cross country scholarships that are offered through World Sports. The scholarship amounts total $40,000 per year. There are also 16 athletic scholarships that can be renewed for up to 4 years of college. Applications are taken from December 1st through March 15th of the following year. In addition to cross country participation applicants need to show leadership in their school and community.
No Excuses Student Wear Annual Athletic Scholarship for Cross Country
No Excuses Wear offers students in cross country the chance to win 1 of 10 $2,500 scholarships. Students must show that they have participated in cross country at least two out of four years in high school. Students must show good sportsmanship, community involvement and a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Applications for these athletic scholarships for cross country are taken from January 10th through May 1st. All recipients must show that they are planning to attend an accredited college in the fall. Students must be planning to attend at least half time to be eligible. Students can renew the scholarship up to 4 years if they continue the cross country sport and to be in good academic standing at the college.
